At the start of October I started my quest create the first 320 by 200 #VGA video card... at least for an #8bit #homebrew computer.

After six weeks of work (and several weeks of waiting) it's finally complete!

I have dabbled with developing video games for a while.

Whether it is making #PowerPoint games when I was 9, making #QBASIC games when I was 10, making #homebrew #SNES demos when I was 16, I've been coding for a long time.

However, I am still just a beginner. I haven't finished making a game since 2013.

I am currently developing a game for the #NES, for #NESDevCompo23.

While I generally prefer #FreeSoftware, I still use #Windows 10, though that may change by late 2025.

Expect some #memes too.

My Wishlist for porting stuff to the 3DS:

- Acclaims Re-Volt - it's free now

- Stardew Valley - in low resolution maybe?

- Some Sneaky stuff like "The Dark Project"? Still have the CD.

- I also found "Descent 1+2" - never really played it - on a DS it could be fun though

#brewday experiment; make a cider from supermarket bought ingredients. 4l pressed apple juice, baker's yeast. Total cost £4.80 ish should come out at 5% abv if the yeast does it's thing.

Will I end up with five conflicting Python’s? Are there security implications to not letting Mac OS handle updating Python for me?
